You'll learn how to do this effectively, the differences between services like Vulnerability Scans and Penetration Tests, what to expect, and how to identify what approach is right for your needs. Jeff Oden from Ember Trail will be joining me in this session to share his insights in nearly two decades of ethical hacking experiences.

Cyber Playbook Live: Compliance

If you have sensitive data on clients, third parties, or even your staff, you have obligations for what cyber practices are expected. This week we’re talking about different requirements around cybersecurity practices that can come from Data Security Laws or even a business partner. Learn about the common practices that are essentially barriers to entry for any business, in addition to specific legal obligations you may have. Exercises will include getting started with identifying your requirements and preparing to address them.

When we talk about compliance, HIPAA is always the elephant in the room and so many businesses don’t know when it applies to them, and the ones who do tend to miss major parts of the requirements. In this session, we’ll clear up questions about who is covered or not (so join if you touch any data around medical data or insurance data like life, health or even worker’s comp). We have Liam Degnan from Compliancy Group coming in to help with this one and he’ll also be sharing information on proposed changes to HIPAA that we need to be ready for.
