To help offices address some of their most glaring risks this Cyber Awareness Month, RLS Consulting and our partner, Ember Trail, are providing access to Overe.io - a tool designed to help you take your Microsoft 365 Security to the next level!
Overe pulls together information that is often scattered across the Microsoft Security Admin Center and Windows Defender.
It makes it easier to identify security gaps based on your current subscription and available security controls.

IMPORTANT NOTES AND COMMON QUESTIONS:
If you do not set up Overe as described below, you will very likely be contacted by their sales team. As partners, we have a unique process for you to follow (below) to avoid this.
As you set up Overe, there will be different permissions needed for you to be able to use it to review and manage your security in Microsoft. It does not get access to any of your data. And, granting our team access is only giving us the ability to support you in your Overe platform, not the admin access to your Microsoft.
If you use a third-party IT provider, we can help you grant them access (Step 5 shows the steps to add members). We recommend a call to help coordinate everything and give them a tour of what is there for them to use.

Setting up Overe
Watch the video for more a walkthrough of the steps located below.
- Don't skip steps or you may run into issues.
- An Administrator for your Microsoft account will need to complete these steps.
Step 1: Create Your Account
Go here to start the process: https://usw2.app.overe.io/signin?rc=EMBTRL2025
Step 2: Connect Your Account
Select the "Overe - United States" version and sign in with your Microsoft Account to connect it to your tenant.
Accept the permissions requested to continue.
Step 3: Confirm Your Org Details
Verify the information imported from Microsoft is correct and make any edits to update your organization and Overe site.
You will only need one site, these are used for entities that manage more than one environment.
Step 4: Allow Permissions
These permissions allow Overe to see more about your Microsoft 365 security settings and related details that allow the tool to work.
Accept the permissions requested to continue.

Step 5: Connect to Our Team
After processing and building your organization and site, you can add our team to both support you and show Overe that you are associated with us.
NOTE: If you do not do this step, you will likely be contacted by Overe's sales team.
To connect us to your account:
- Click "Org Config" in the bottom left control menu.
- Click "Add Members".
- Add Jeff Oden using his email address: "[email protected]".
- Set his Assigned Role as "Administrator".
NOTE: This does NOT give us any access to your Microsoft 365 environment - it is only for access to Overe and gives us the ability to see your dashboard and assist you. We CANNOT make changes without being an M365 Admin for your account.
Step 6: Explore with Caution
Now you're all set up!
At first, it will take time for information to be updated and available, so there is less to see initially.
After several days, we recommend joining us for a walkthrough and we'll help you learn what's available and how it all works.
Everything marked "PROTECT" is a paid feature, where there are many tools in the free "ASSESS" version.
After your trial of "Protect", you may need to reset your access because the advanced permissions will be revoked for you automatically.
